The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive our automation strategy, focusing on applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced AI technology. This role requires expertise in Playwright (TypeScript) and proficiency in Python, where you will design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and cutting-edge software.

Duties and Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Development:Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript).Debugging Playwright tests using trace files and logs.Contribute significantly to the architecture and evolution of our automation frameworks.Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing.Develop and execute test plans specifically for applications that incorporate Large Language Models (LLMs).

Defect Management:

Identify and communicate bugs found during regression or scheduled test executions.Work closely with the supervisor to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.

Quality Advocacy:

Act as a strong advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.Continuously seek to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Collaboration:

Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.Communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to cross-functional teams and supervisors.

Job Description

As an Sr. Automation QA Engineer at LoopQA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our clients' applications through test automation. We are looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also an exceptional learner and able to quickly adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies. The primary automation frameworks we work with are Playwright with TypeScript and/or JavaScript. However, you will be expected to adapt to a variety of testing methodologies and environments as client needs evolve. You’ll work closely with developers to integrate and maintain robust automation frameworks that ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient testing processes. Job Description
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will lead test automation efforts and champion AI‑driven testing strategies to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability across distributed, cloud‑native systems. You are a strong voice for quality—writing code, shaping test strategy, and building the frameworks and pipelines that help teams ship with confidence. In this role, you will mentor junior engineers, partner closely with Product and Engineering, and continuously evolve how we test through smart automation, measurable quality signals, and responsible use of AI‑assisted tools.
What You’ll Do

Architect and scale automation frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using PHP, C#, .NET, and Playwright.
Champion AI‑driven quality practices: Lead adoption of AI tools (e.g., Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Testim) to enhance test generation, test prioritization, risk identification, and defect detection.
Embed AI‑assisted testing into delivery: Integrate AI‑assisted testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to improve repeatability, speed, and signal quality.
Partner for quality-by-design: Collaborate with developers to ensure testability is built into architecture and implementation; advocate for shift‑left quality practices.
