Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a QA Automation Engineer to drive quality engineering efforts through automation, API testing, and emerging AI‑assisted validation techniques that enhance delivery speed and product reliability. This will be a fully remote within the United States position.

Responsibilities
Testing Activities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases, scenarios, and scripts.

Perform functional, system, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

Conduct API, interface, data transfer, and web-services testing using tools such as ReadyAPI, Postman, Wave, and AMP.

Execute end-to-end Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) tasks including defect logging, verification, and root cause analysis.

Perform database testing using SQL queries and simple scripts.

Test Planning, Process & Documentation
Develop comprehensive test plans that align to user stories, acceptance criteria, and integration requirements.

Implement established testing processes and ensure compliance across all test activities.

Track and report test metrics, test execution results, and test progress.

Manage defect reporting and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through failure, throughput, and yield analysis.

Tools & Technology
Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks using one or more of the following: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium (JAVA), or AI-assisted testing tools.

Use Jira to manage sprint-based testing artifacts and Xray for structured test execution.

Utilize AWS Cloud environments and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, and GitHub.

Support execution of automated testing based on program needs and manager discretion.

Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with development, requirements, and cross-functional teams

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation frameworks and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure product quality Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and processes Adapt to evolving automation tools and technologies, including potential migration to tools like Tosca Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver Strong understanding of automation frameworks and testing methodologies Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) Preferred Skills:

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Developer is a senior, hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise IAM capabilities at New York Life. This role focuses heavily on SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) development, Java-based customization, and Python-driven automation, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship within the IAM engineering team.

In addition to deep technical expertise, this role requires strong managerial and leadership skills. The IAM Developer is expected to lead workstreams, guide junior developers, partner closely with architecture and security stakeholders, and help translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable IAM solutions.

As IAM continues to evolve alongside automation and artificial intelligence, this role will also contribute to the responsible use of AI-enabled tooling within IAM, including reporting, analytics, and productivity enhancements.

What You'll Do:

IAM Engineering & Development

Design, develop, test, and implement scalable IAM solutions aligned with enterprise security standards and business requirements. Develop and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) capabilities including workflows, provisioning policies, custom forms, rules, reports, certifications, and integrations. Build and enhance identity lifecycle automation for joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes. Develop custom connectors and integrations using JavaBeans, Java, web services, and APIs. Leverage Python scripting to a
