KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Cyber Assessment (Penetration Testing) to join our Digital Security Group.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed network and web application penetration tests
Perform red teaming exercises to assess the detection capabilities of our security operations
Engage in AI Red Teaming to improve the robustness and security of AI systems
Facilitate security assessments and manage the resolution of identified vulnerabilities
Stay current with the latest security trends and techniques
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum five years of recent practical experience in cybersecurity, focusing on network and web application penetration testing, red teaming, AI red teaming, cloud penetration testing, and security assessments
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; relevant certifications such as GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, or similar are highly preferred; Certifications in Azure a plus
Strong familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE ATLAS, OWASP, PTES, and NIST
Solid foundation in network and cloud security concepts, with

Requirements:

Desired Skills & Experience:

At least 3-4 years experience in development of product testing, manufacturing, automation tools. Python is a big advantage.

Experience with Linux & shell scripting: Python, bash. - an advantage

Experience in analyzing large and diverse systems, understanding QA processes and procedures.

Background in developing test automation infrastructure and/or automating tests on a combination of Linux and Windows servers.

Experience in testing databases - must

Experience with AWS/GCP Cloud, Virtualization, and containerization infrastructures - Advantage

A deep understanding of Computer systems / Operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows) - must

JOB SUMMARY

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is a software engineering professional specializing in automation, quality engineering, and intelligent system validation. This role designs, develops, deploys, and maintains scalable automated solutions to ensure the reliability, performance, security, accessibility, and resilience of enterprise applications, system integrations, and automated business workflows.

The SDET combines strong programming expertise with modern engineering practices to build automation frameworks, validate APIs and distributed systems, support CI/CD and cloud-native execution models, and test AI-enabled systems and process automation platforms. Working closely with Development, DevOps, Architecture, Product teams, QA Leads, and other stakeholders, the SDET improves system testability, drives shift-left and continuous testing practices, and embeds automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle while maintaining enterprise quality and governance standards.
