You will build and own automation test flows for Omni Spec, focusing on backend test automation for API and Kafka-based applications.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Astra Automation to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Develop scripts for a backend platform to manage component, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Generate unit, contract, and functional test cases from selected files or code using available frameworks.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to define and refine test strategies.
Execute automated tests, analyze results, identify defects, and provide detailed reporting for issue resolution.
Document test plans, scripts, and results while maintaining version control and test management tools.
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
Required Skills
6+ years of experience in software testing based on the SDLC lifecycle.
3+ years of experience writing automation scripts using Java.
Development experience with Java and Python.
Proficiency with Selenium and REST-API.
Experience with load, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, Karate, and Wiremock.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Postman and DX Contract Testing.
Ability to lead with minimal guidance and suggest process optimizations.
